Staff Bio

Brianda is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist originally from Del Rio, Texas, and now practicing in the Austin area. Her background in kinesiology and nursing, along with her passion for health, wellness, and movement, shaped her path toward advanced practice nursing.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin and has gained clinical experience across home health, internal medicine, acute care, plastics, oncology, orthopedics, and pain management. Through her experiences in internal medicine and home health nursing, Brianda had the opportunity to care for some of the most vulnerable patient populations, which strengthened her belief in the importance of compassionate, individualized, and patient-centered care. Working closely with patients in their homes and managing complex chronic conditions gave her a deeper appreciation for how illness and pain can affect not only physical health, but also independence, mobility, and quality of life.

Her interest in pain management grew from a desire to better understand the complex nature of pain and help patients regain function and return to the activities that are meaningful to them. She believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s individual experience with pain and developing thoughtful, individualized treatment plans.

Outside of work, Brianda enjoys strength training, staying active, exploring health and wellness, and spending time with family and friends. She is passionate about lifelong learning and is excited to continue growing her knowledge and expertise in the field of pain management.
