I love pain management because I can see and appreciate the changes I can make in my patients’ lives. My first exposure to the specialty was in residency. Seeing how I could ease a patient’s symptoms and watch them make a recovery back to their previous functional levels and improve their social interactions with their family and friends really made me feel like this was the career for me. I find it to be a very rewarding and fulfilling career. I really cannot imagine doing anything else.
