Mark T. Malone, M.D., is a Board Certified pain specialist and a native Texan. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Malone attended Baylor College of Medicine for residency and training in anesthesiology, and then completed a pain management fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in 1998. Prior to founding Advanced Pain Care in 2002, Dr. Malone was a member of an Austin-based group practice for twelve years, and a clinical instructor at Baylor College of Medicine for six years. He is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with a sub-specialty in pain management; this is the only board certification for pain management endorsed by the American Board of Medical Specialties. In 2017 Dr. Malone was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Perioperative Care at UT Dell Medical School. <br> Dr. Malone is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Spinal Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Travis County Medical Society. He has successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. He and his wife, Tracy, live in Austin with their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys water-skiing, cycling, and travel.

Specialist Bio

Hyacinth Brown is a Physician Liaison at Advanced Pain Care. She has 10 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and 17 years of experience in healthcare. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started her career managing patients with complex neurologic and oncologic disorders at a level one trauma hospital.

Her experience spans the healthcare continuum from acute care, long term care, primary care, and post-acute care. She has experience assessing patients, counseling families, overseeing clinic operations, working to improve access to care for indigent and underserved patients, educating healthcare partners, and meeting business development goals.

She understands the significance of pain management, in all areas of healthcare, and the misunderstanding or misperceptions of pain management resources. Hyacinth’s goal is to educate the community and healthcare partners on pain management treatment options to decrease barriers to care and increase access to quality care, as well as serve as an advocate and care coordinator for all patients in need of guidance.

Since joining Advanced Pain Care, she’s engaged with her community to serve as a resource. She joined the Highland Lakes Service League, a nonprofit organization that supports community development and is a member of the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Burnet Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work Hyacinth is the mother of 2 active children. She loves living in the Texas Hill Country and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and kayaking with her husband and children.
