Mark T. Malone, M.D., is a Board Certified pain specialist and a native Texan. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Malone attended Baylor College of Medicine for residency and training in anesthesiology, and then completed a pain management fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in 1998.
Prior to founding Advanced Pain Care in 2002, Dr. Malone was a member of an Austin-based group practice for twelve years, and a clinical instructor at Baylor College of Medicine for six years. He is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with a sub-specialty in pain management; this is the only board certification for pain management endorsed by the American Board of Medical Specialties. In 2017 Dr. Malone was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Perioperative Care at UT Dell Medical School.
Dr. Malone is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Spinal Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Travis County Medical Society. He has successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. He and his wife, Tracy, live in Austin with their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys water-skiing, cycling, and travel.

Victor M. Taylor, M.D. DABA, is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He graduated from Amarillo High School and received a bachelor of science degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Dr. Taylor started medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine at the age of 38. He received his M.D. from Tech in 2005 and stayed in Lubbock for residency in Anesthesiology at University Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Taylor served as co-chief resident.
Dr. Taylor was fortunate to train at Texas Tech International Pain Institute home to some of the leading pain physicians in the United States. During his residency and fellowship Dr. Taylor contributed to the peer reviewed literature and authored a textbook chapter in Clinical Pain Management 2nd edition. His original research in collaboration with Ralph Justiz, M.D. won first place at the Gulf Area Anesthesiology Residents Research Conference. During his fellowship Dr. Taylor received the Medtronic Pain Fellowship Educational Grant. Dr. Taylor is also trained in spinal cord stimulation.
From 2010 through 2018 Dr. Taylor was the founder and Medical Director of Amarillo Interventional Pain Management. He is excited to now be a part of Advanced Pain Care. Joining this growing interdisciplinary group will open new avenues of treatment as well as improve efficiency.
Dr. Taylor is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He has served as mentor for ACAL students interested in careers in healthcare. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Potter-Randal County Medical Society and served on the admissions committee of Texas Tech School of Medicine.
Dr. Taylor has been married to Laura Taylor since 1988. They are big fans of the Poodle dog and currently serve as domestic caregivers for a lake poodle. Dr. Taylor enjoys reading and writing fiction. He was born in Amarillo and never wanted to live anywhere else.
