Specialist Bio
Rachel is a nationally certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and a proud member of the Central Texas Physician Assistant Society. She currently practices at Advanced Pain Care, where she is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered pain management. In addition to her role at Advanced Pain Care, she also works PRN at Total Primary Care in Austin, Texas, allowing her to maintain a broad clinical foundation and remain closely connected to primary care medicine.
Rachel earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she received extensive training in diagnostic reasoning, procedural techniques, and the management of both acute and chronic medical conditions. Her education emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice to guide her clinical decision-making and approach to patient care. Prior to her graduate studies, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Salisbury University and an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies from Wor-Wic Community College.
Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Rachel practiced as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant beginning in 2019, providing rehabilitative care to patients with neurological, orthopedic, and cognitive impairments in both skilled nursing facilities and hospital settings. This experience gave her a deep understanding of pain management, mobility, and recovery, and it continues to inform her practice today. It also instilled in her a strong belief in the importance of compassionate, multidisciplinary care to support patients in achieving both physical and emotional well-being.
At Advanced Pain Care, Rachel hopes to create a collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their care. Her clinical interests include the multidisciplinary management of chronic pain, functional restoration, and patient education as a foundation for long-term wellness. She is passionate about improving quality of life through evidence-based treatments and individualized care plans designed to meet each patient’s unique needs.
