Mark T. Malone, M.D., is a Board Certified pain specialist and a native Texan. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Malone attended Baylor College of Medicine for residency and training in anesthesiology, and then completed a pain management fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in 1998.
Prior to founding Advanced Pain Care in 2002, Dr. Malone was a member of an Austin-based group practice for twelve years, and a clinical instructor at Baylor College of Medicine for six years. He is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with a sub-specialty in pain management; this is the only board certification for pain management endorsed by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Ryan Michaud is a Board Certified physician in Anesthesia and Pain Management and did his Interventional fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He received his medical diploma from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2006. He completed his Anesthesia Residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque from 2006 to 2010. Before joining Advanced Pain Care, Dr. Ryan Michaud worked in a private practice in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, American Pain Society, International Society of Interventional Pain, American Society of Anesthesiologist and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Paterno is double board certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, With Honors, and With Distinction. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree also from Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Paterno completed his residency training in Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital. He continued further specialization training with an Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Harvard's Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, recently recognized by the American Academy of Pain Medicine as one of the top pain management fellowships in the country.
