Staff Bio
Adam is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist practicing pain care. He has been practicing as a nurse for about 12 years. He received his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently completing the last year of his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at UT as well. He spent years working as a Director of Nursing at Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities with a specialty in dementia and Alzheimer’s disease before pursuing his advanced practice degrees. He believes strongly in the ties between physical and emotional health and focuses on helping his patients improve their quality of life.
As a young adult, Adam experienced a traumatic car accident, leaving him with multiple injuries requiring 7 surgeries over the next year including a lumbar spinal fusion. This experience helped guide his journey into nursing and gives him a deeper understanding of the link between the spine and chronic pain.
When not working or in school, Adam enjoys indoor rock climbing and playing goalie in ice hockey when time allows for it.
