Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over four years experience providing therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention to individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ages and cultures. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts and from Texas State University with a Master of Social Work. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and has specialized training on the short and long term effects of trauma and how to heal from those experiences. Her therapeutic approach is to listen deeply and without judgment, meet people where they are at, and tailor treatment according to their individual needs and goals. Michele believes that which we resist, persists, and that which we feel, heals. Our bodies and minds have a natural propensity towards healing and health, and sometimes we need help accessing that. Her motivation for becoming a psychotherapist was the profound difference that therapy made in her own life, and her desire to share that same success with others. She loves spending time with her dogs, live music, and embracing new experiences.
